About Us
Lebanon represents virtually a microcosm of the world. Lebanon's diverse geography
and topography in its area of 10,452 km2, coupled with its temperate Mediterranean
climate, and combined with the millions of birds that migrate through it twice
per year between Europe, Asia and Africa, makes Lebanon one of the most important
flyways in the world.
SPNL endeavors to fight against environmental degradation in Lebanon through
scientific research, local community involvement, valuation of biodiversity,
advocating for sounder policies, awareness, outreach and environmental education.
